Judd Apatow's upcoming comedy, This Is 40, has a new trailer, and, particularly if you fit the film's core demographic, you'll very likely find yourself laughing uncomfortably and repeatedly.
With the ever-wonderful Paul Rudd as his stand-in, Apatow seems to have created a new kind of domestic comedy with his own real-life family (wife Leslie Mann and daughters Iris and Maude Apatow), one that feels endearingly organic and nods to the naturalism of his classic series, Freaks and Geeks.
If any comedy this year is going to convince parents in their 30s and 40s to find a sitter and get out to the theater, this is it.
This Is 40 opens December 21st.
