Wes Anderson confirms Depp, Murray, and more for cryptic European film

Wes Anderson films are known for their jumble of extraordinary cast members. Along with his regulars: Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, and the Wilson brothers (Owen, Luke, and Andrew for those at home counting), Anderson often peppers his films with fresh blood, including, but not limited to: Adrien Brody in The Darjeeling Limited, Willem Dafoe in The Life Aquatic or most recently, Edward Norton and Bruce Wilson in Moonrise Kingdom.

The groundwork of Anderson’s next film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, has conjured another delectable combination of characters. The title alone generates minor intrigue. Although, according to IMDB, the premise is currently confined to the following less-than-fervent description: a European story. Johnny Depp has been confirmed for a role, along with Jude Law, who announced earlier this summer that after years of pleading, Anderson finally obliged to cast him in the new flick. After I Heart Huckabees, it seemed only a matter of time before Law would be signed into the Anderson clan. Now, Murray has revealed to Vulture that he will be once again joining the Anderson cast, this time filming in Germany. Murder, She Wrote’s very own Angela Lansbury has also announced she will have a minor (and mysterious) role in the film as well.

And, now that your curiosity is piqued, that’s about all the current information on the film, besides a hopeful December 26, 2014 release date. Happy Holidays?
