The Master soundtrack as unnerving as trailers

The Master original soundtrack, composed by Johnny Greenwood (of Radiohead guitar and synth fame), is now available for listening, just in time for the film's release date of September 14. Director Paul Thomas Anderson has worked with Greenwood before in 2007's There Will Be Blood, in which the duo successfully terrified and captivated a critical audience then, and will no doubt haunt in a similar vein here.

One listen through and you have an unsteady tempo and unbalanced volume play a game to excite and terrify, whimsy and horror blend together and unnerve, confusing an audience to be chilled but dazed. Like the trailer, you cannot pull your eyes away (well, now ears), intrigued to keep poking, even if there's a feeling something is terribly wrong.

Check out the creepy soundtrack below (but you'll have to log in with a Spotify account). Purchase is also available through iTunes.
