Second Zero Dark Thirty trailer, though Oscar-bait-y, still ambiguous
Kathryn Bigelow's next political feat, Zero Dark Thirty, receives a full cut trailer that still manages to keep specifics low key. The director teamed up with The Hurt Locker writing partner Mark Boal to unearth the drama and quickly they worked to bring together beautiful imagery with an excellent cast.
Zero Dark Thirty is a detailed look into the decade-long mission of the American government counterattacking the 9/11 attacks, specifically Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. The story is highly dramatized in a clear Oscar-baiting manner: the picture excellent, large and action-packed, and the insistence of boasting on past award recognition. Neverhteless, interest is still highly piqued.
Jessica Chastain, Chris Pratt, Joel Edgerton, Kyle Chandler and Mark Strong headline as Navy SEAL Team 6. The historical drama will appear near the end of the awards circuit on December 19, hopeful to keep its impression lasting for voting time.
