Nicolas Winding Refn's new Ryan Gosling flick promises more trippyness

A short teaser clip from the upcoming Ryan Gosling/Nicolas Winding Refn flick Only God Forgives has begun circulating the web and although it’s the greatest quality video, we like what we can see.

The film written and directed by Refn will be his second collaboration with Gosling (after 2011’s Drive) who will star as a drug smuggling/Thai boxing club owner who is looking to avenge his brother’s death.

The clip promises us a dark film with tons of violence which is backed up by Gosling’s usually handsome face beaten almost beyond recognition on the movie poster. The colors and shots are reminiscent of those in Drive and it seems like this film's going to be equally trippy. Resn has been pitching the piece as a Western, although visually its dark coridors, tinted lighting, and hushed threats are more reminiscent of the neo-noir he pulled off so well in Drive.

We’re willing to let him call it whatever he wants though so long as he gives us a release date instead of just taunting the world with a “post production” on the imdb page.
