Jerry Seinfeld becomes chauffeur to his comedy pals
Can a forthcoming web series featuring comedian Jerry Seinfeld driving around in a number of his luxury cars with many of his famous friends plopped in the passenger seat make for comedy gold? We'll have to wait and see until July 19, when Seinfeld's new project Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee debuts on the online digital network Crackle.
A promo for the show has been released and it looks like it could be amusing. Michael Richards, Ricky Gervais, Larry David, and Alec Baldwin, among others, all get driven around. The show's success will, of course, hinge on whether Seinfeld and his guests can keep the banter lively and funny. Otherwise, it might be preferable to simply listen to the engine rumble or crank up the tunes instead.
