Boy wonder Joseph Gordon-Levitt to host awards at Sundance

Joseph-Gordon Levitt hasn't been doing a whole lot lately, guys. Just kidding, he's been pretty busy, starring in 2012 blockbusters, being fought over by comic book moguls, and with his feature film directorial debut.

Don Jon's Addiction has been shrouded in mystery, but is reportedly so consuming that JGL dropped out of Django Unchained to work on his film. Don Jon's Addiction premieres this January at Sundance, in a noncompetitive category. And, besides being an Artist Trustee of the Sundance Institute, seven of his films have screened there, plus his directorial debut, a short called Sparks in 2009. No one is quite as "Sundance" these days as JGL.

Other stars in attendance at Sundance will include Kristen Bell, Rooney Mara, Casey Affleck, Daniel Radcliffe, and Jessica Biel. Kristen Bell appears in Liz W. Garcia's The Lifeguard, in what may be Hesher crossed with Young Adult. Mara and Affleck co-star in Ain't Them Bodies Saints directed by David Lowery. Radcliffe plays Beat poet Allen Ginsberg in another movie about Beat poets, Kill Your Darlings. This one is less road movie and more film noir. And Jessica Biel takes a break from romantic comedies with thriller Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes.

27 films are in competition at Sundance, with almost 100 films in non-competitive categories.
