Yeasayer preview new album
Over two years after the release of their second album, Odd Blood, Brooklyn's Yeasayer have announced its follow-up. Fragrant World will be out August 21 on Secretly Canadian Records.
First single "Henrietta" can be streamed below and is available for free download (with a calid email address) at the band's website. The accompanying press release promises that Fragrant World is "something much weirder and darker" than the band's previous work, and indeed, this song is quite a bit less dance-oriented and a touch moodier than what we've come to expect from Yeasayer.
Yeasayer will be previewing the new album on a brief tour next month. The six dates will run from June 19 in Richmond, VA to June 24 in Cincinnati. Full schedule, with ticketing information, is available at the band's website.
