Teen invite you to a mixtape of mashups and experiments
In advance of the release of their debut full-length In Limbo (out August 28 on Carpark Records), Teen have released a 24-minute mixtape of covers, mashups and experiments that they describe as "an off-kilter feeling that seems like you're stuck in a dream. Kind of like being in love in the summer." Mashing the band's own material with covers of songs by Pavement, 702 and Rickie Lee Jones and samples taken from Suicide, Aphex Twin, Laurie Anderson and Outkast records, the dreamy/hazy Rumblette gives an idea of where the young female quartet got some of their ideas.
Teen are hitting the road with fellow Brooklynites Hospitality this fall. The 16-date tour starts September 29 in Chicago and winds up October 27 in Chapel Hill. Full dates are available at Songkick.
