Taste of Elvis Costello's prolific soundtrack career set for November release
Elvis Costello has had many of his songs featured in movies over the years. Whether he loaned a track or wrote it specifically for the film, Costello's trademark new wave/punk/pub rock-hybrid tunes have been known to frequently find a home in iconic scenes throughout movie history.
On November 19, Universal Music Enterprise will release Elvis Costello: In Motion Pictures, a collection of 15 songs used in various films over a span of 32 years. Although the album is barely a dent in Costello's film association, the compilation is a great introduction to the songs that helped define many films. Including songs used in films such as The Big Lebowski, E.T., and The Godfather Part III, the album is another taste of Costello's prolific 40+ career.
