Tanlines rework Gotye song into Beach House-y jam
Apparently not content enough with dominating multiple charts with his everpresent hit "Somebody That I Used To Know," singer/songwriter Gotye is offering a special remix EP of his Making Mirrors track "Eyes Wide Open." Set for release next week through Universal, the new extended player features commissioned alterations from the likes of Yeasayer and Japanese producer Cornelius.
Also providing their own unique take on the song is Brooklyn duo Tanlines, who swap the track's insistent, beat-driven pull for something with a little more patience. B each House-y, even.
