Stems contest winners make Bon record as cool as Iver

In August, critically acclaimed alternative folkster Bon Iver held a contest for fans to remix his songs from stem layouts through social network Indaba Music called: Bon Iver, Bon Iver: Stems Project. The competition was based on mixing all ten tracks on the band's latest album, Bon Iver, Bon Iver, through the mixing and production tools on Indaba. Once the remixes were completed, the tracks were put up on Spotify for a public vote and the shortlisted songs were chosen by the band itself.

The winners have now been chosen and the selected tracks have been compiled into an album on Spotify, making for a solidly enjoyable new Bon Iver album. Along with being featured on the music streaming site, composers of featured songs also won $1000.

Check out the winning remixes in the Spotify playlist below.
