Sharon Van Etten gets even more intimate on Tramp Deluxe Edition
Sharon Van Etten’s splendor isn’t immediately gratifying. It’s more the kind that haunts you, slowly but surely overtaking your senses until you’re immersed in it, your every movement intertwined in its grasp. Lyricist Van Etten puts your greatest hopes and fears into an echo chamber, forcing you to evaluate your purpose as you evaluate hers.
Van Etten’s latest album, Tramp, hit a nerve doing just this when it was released in early 2012. In fact, it hit a lot of nerves. So many that Jagjaguwar Records is releasing a Tramp Deluxe Edition on November 13. The deluxe edition will include Tramp’s 12 original tracks plus their demos plus a newly released bonus track called “Tell Me.” It will offer an even more intimate look at Van Etten’s psyche, liner notes and self-portrait artwork included.
Van Etten tours the U.S. with singer-songwriter Damien Jurado before heading off for her mostly Australian winter (summer) in December.
