Roxy Music box set postponed

The much-anticipated 10-disk box set by art-pop outfit Roxy Music has been pushed back to August 28. Roxy Music: The Complete Studio Recordings, originally slated for an April release, includes the band's eight studio albums, along with B-sides, singles and alternative mixes. The band hasn't explained the cause for delay, but one can only imagine it's because they were preoccupied practicing synchronized swimming routines with super models or architecting new Tron-esque dimensions of pleasure...or it was just the label's idea.

The collection is a celebration of the band's first album released in 1972 when the line-up consisted of members Bryan Ferry, Brian Eno, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, Paul Thompson and Graham Simpson. While no tour dates for the group have been released, Bryan Ferry will be performing at the upcoming Guilfest in the UK on July 15th.
