Nick Lowe strips down for fall tour and Yep Roc anniversary
British national treasure Nick Lowe will be hitting American shores for a solo acoustic tour this fall, behind last year's masterful, R&B-tinged The Old Magic (Yep Roc Records). The tour will begin September 18 in Albany and wind up 16 dates later in Port Washington, NY on October 14.
In addition, Nick will be headlining the opening night of Yep Roc's three-day 15th anniversary celebration on October 11 at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC. The rest of the night's lineup includes Robyn Hitchcock, luchador-obsessed surf-rockers Los Straitjackets, California roots-rock mainstays Dave Alvin and Chuck Prophet and singer-songwriter Eleni Mandell, with John Wesley Harding as compere. Sounds like a blast, and the other two nights are pretty sweet too.
