Mashup of the Day: Cedric Lamar
You might be at a point where you never again want to hear Gnarls Barkley's signature song, "Crazy," but Cedric Lamar, the frontman of rocking soul band The Life and Times Of, recently tried to revitalize that 2006 hit with the help of a ukulele, some modern mashup ingenuity and the timeless songwriting of Willie Nelson.
In the video, Lamar attempts to finds some common ground between Barkley's neo-soul "Crazy" and the late night classic of the same name, which was originally penned by Nelson in 1961 and popularized by pop country icon Patsy Cline the following year.
