Wes Anderson is back
The trailer for Wes Anderson's newest feature film, Moonrise Kingdom, has just been released, though the film itself doesn't come out until the spring. It's been a while since Anderson has released a live-action film, but you can see traces of Fantastic Mr. Fox all over this trailer, with characteristically colorful costumes and scenery, a kid-centered storyline, as well as a protagonist who is very Max Fischer from Rushmore as a young child.
Moonrise Kingdom was also co-written by Roman Coppola, a longtime collaborator and cousin of another frequent co-creator with Anderson, Jason Schwartzman (not to mention a sibling and son to directors Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola, respectively) who is in the film as well.
