Video of the Day: The Woodwards
Amsterdam-based duo The Woodwards, led by singer-songwriter Peter Schuyff, preview their forthcoming album (due this fall) with this haunting, slightly unsettling video for the song "Nothing." Schuyff, who's more widely known for his painting than his music, performs in darkness, intercut with shots of a young boy wearing Schuyff's facial hair and walking around the aftermath of...well, watch the video to find out.
The as yet untitled album will include more videos, directed like this one by Maarten Schuth, as well as stores and a graphic novel written by Schuyff and illustrated by Charlie Roberts; the whole will create what Schuyff terms a "360-degree autobiography."
