Video of the Day: Paul Weller, "That Dangerous Age"
Longtime CM fave Paul Weller is gearing up for next month's release of his latest solo album, Sonik Kicks, with the release of the video for first single "That Dangerous Age." The video itself is no great shakes -- a basic performance video that echoes the garish neon orange-and-blue vibe of the album cover -- but the song is a fun little blast of modern electronic noise mixed with '60s-stye R&B-inflected rock.
Speaking of age, the once eternally boyish-looking Weller is suddenly looking every one of his 53 years, and then some. That probably accounts for the song's tongue-in-cheek account of an aging man's midlife crisis.
Weller will be playing two shows at New York City's Best Buy Theater on May 18 and 19, his only scheduled American shows at the moment.
