Ulrich Schnauss gets trippy after dark in new video
Ulrich Schnauss has shared the hazed out, gently psychedelic visual for the title track from his forthcoming album, A Long Way To Fall, which is set for a February 12th release on Domino.
The video, from media creator Nat Urazmetova, (don't you DARE call him a director!), aims to draw parallels between natural forms, such as fog, waves, and trees, with man-made constructions such as street lights, cars, and high rise apartment buildings. Perhaps Urazmetova wanted the visuals to compliment Schnauss' music, which sets tightly constructed electronic beats over airy shoegaze atmospherics. Or maybe he just has a condo near the beach.
Urazmetova will also create him some media in the form of live visuals during Schnauss' 2013 spring tour, much to the delight of fans of fog and street lights everywhere. Fans of seaweed and industrial turbines, however, will once again be bitterly disappointed.
