Trailer of the Day: Judd Apatow's This Is 40
A semi-sequel to Judd Apatow's Knocked Up, This Is 40 finds the renowned writer/director/producer working again with his wife, Leslie Mann, who reprises her role as Debbie, the high-strung spouse of the significantly more laid-back Pete (Paul Rudd). While Seth Rogen and, thankfully, Katherine Heigl are not listed among the cast, the movie does feature Apatow and Mann's real-life daughters, Iris and Maude Apatow, as Pete and Debbie's kids, and includes appearances by comedic kindred spirits Jason Segel and Melissa McCarthy.
Not only is this clip amusing, but it's likely the first trailer in Hollywood history to feature both female and male leads lying in wait of uncomfortable examinations. The familial awkwardness is scheduled to arrive on December 21st.
