Trailer of the Day – Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome
It's been a particularly good week for sci-fi fans--first, with an impressive new trailer for Ridley Scott's Prometheus and now a teaser for the upcoming Battlestar Galactica prequel, Blood & Chrome. Unlike Syfy's other BSG spinoff, the short-lived soap-opera-like Caprica, this production, which uses computer-generated backdrops, appears to be action-oriented and will focus on the exploits of Cylon-fighting William "Husker" Adama, played in the earlier series by Edward James Olmos and here by Luke Pasqualino.
Although key BSG player Ronald D. Moore is not involved in this new project, which may or may not become a full series (one word--ratings), we're cautiously optimistic that the production will strive for the heights of its parent series, which, of course, stands as a towering television achievement. Let's hope they don't frak this up.
