Track of the Day: Homeboy Sandman

It's this sort of forward-thinking rap that catches our ear at Critical Mob: "Lookout" is the lead track off Homebody Sandman's latest EP Chimera, released last February via Stones Throw Records, home to underground MCs like Madlib and Guilty Simpson. For a lyrical rapper with a flow like this, he's certainly found himself a home. Working over a slow-burning beat from producer Paul White, Sandman expertly works his way through the track's peaks and valleys.

Normally a regular in the New York underground scene, Sandman will take his act to Europe this summer, hitting up shows from London to Paris to Copenhagen.
