The Knife reveal more goodies, will slice and dice way through Europe

After announcing that the long-awaited followup to 2006's Silent Shout is to be released this spring, The Knife have revealed the first set of tour dates in support of the upcoming album.

The European tour will have the duo kick off in Germany on April 27 and weave through cities such as Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, and Oslo, before wrapping up on May 16 in Sweden. The tour will be put on in alliance with temporary art collective Sorkklubben.

Shaking The Habitual is set to be one of the most exciting releases of the year, with the band emphasizing the pensive yet spontaneous writing process of the album: "Started to improvise, to find something less predictable, to let go of what we already knew about music, explore what we didn't, without requiring complete answers."

The record will be released on April 8 through Brille Records and will feature vocals from Emily Royston and Shannon Funchess.
