Clip of the Day: The inner workings of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop
Any news of Jim Henson and his creations have been saturating the media ever since the new Muppets movie released, but we forget that his legacy and the studio he created expand far beyond the beloved TV show.
In a rare sneak peak video, taken by designer Adrian Parish, we get to see the amazing animatronics creations are constantly being whipped up in the Creature Shop. After being desensitized by CGI effects for so long, you forget that some of the characters you see in films are actually human operated puppets. Featuring the work from The Snow Queen, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and other commercials, it's amazing to see the technical detail that goes into making these creatures come alive.
