The Dark Knight Rises releases detailed production notes

Christopher Nolan is known for the shroud of secrecy he throws over each and every one of his productions, most particularly his Batman films. Up until now, we've seen only a handful of cryptic trailers for the finale of the Dark Knight trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. But oddly enough, Warner Bros. has released a 49-page document on the film's official website featuring previously unmentioned plot points, interviews with the cast and crew, and even bits of dialogue from the script. We probably don't need to tell you that if you're steering clear of any spoilers, you may want to shy away from the link.

Why so much so soon? The film is only two short weeks away from its July 20 release date, and anticipation couldn't be greater. The notes are a fascinating read, but it might have been a better move to save them for the Special Features DVD menu. We knew only a few details of The Dark Knight back in 2008, and I think we all remember how that turned out.
