The Breeders prepare all sorts of cool stuff for Last Splash anniversary

Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of The Breeders' post-grunge classic Last Splash, and the group are planning all sorts of stuff to commemorate it that should be cool, but will also probably remind you that at one time you were young and had long hair and cool Doc Martens, but now you're old and have no hair and a lame mortgage.

A deluxe edition of the album will be released this April ("deluxe" being music industry-speak for "louder"), and Kim Deal has roped in original members Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson to join her and sister Kelley in performing the album in full during a summer tour. Those dates have yet to be announced, probably because the gang is still arguing about stuff from 1994, but the tour will kick off with a performance at All Tomorrow's Parties in Camber Sands, UK this June. That gig is curated by Deerhunter, who count Breeders super fan Bradford Cox amongst it's members.

Below is the video for "Cannonball," which means you're now going to stop whatever you're doing and watch it, even though you've seen it probably upwards of a thousand times, because it's just that good.
