The Black Keys File Legal Claims Against Pizza Hut And Home Depot

Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, the garage rock duo better known as The Black Keys are gearing up to do battle with two major chains, namely Pizza Hut and Home Depot. Auerbach and Carney, along with producer Danger Mouse, submitted a claim against the corporate giants alleging that the brands used parts of the songs "Gold on the Ceiling" and "Lonely Boy" in commercial spots.

Although the band's representation sent cease and desist letters to Pizza and Home Depot last month, the chains have failed to pull the offending ads.

In the meantime, Auerbach and Carney are keeping busy outside of the courtroom with plans to make a documentary on their platonic love affair with filmmaker Noah Abrams.
