First Look at the new Taken sequel
Oh Liam Neeson, you thought you could kill all of those Albanian criminals and get away scot-free? The debut international trailer for Taken 2, the sequel to the 2008 surprise hit, gives us everything we have come to expect from a Liam Neeson action flick: emotionally taut circumstances, exotic locations, and a heavy dose of badass-ery.
The plot is straightforward, but pretty darn clever. Remember in the first film how ex-CIA agent Bryan Miller (Neeson) killed endless amounts of men to save his daughter? Well, it turns out that those men had fathers too, and one of them (Rade Serbedzija of Snatch and Batman Begins) wants revenge.
With most of the major players back on board from round one, including writing team Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, Taken 2 just might become one of those rare sequels that improves upon the original. Neeson saves his family all over again on October 5.
