Thom Yorke's Atoms For Peace runs AMOK with debut album

Atoms For Peace recently announced the release date of their debut album, AMOK: January 28. The superband is made up of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers bass virtuoso Flea, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker, and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco.

AMOK has been in the works since last September, which is when the group released "Default," the first single off the upcoming album. Atoms For Peace first performed together in Los Angeles in 2009, playing The Eraser, Yorke's debut solo record. The band then went on a two-week, eight-city tour in 2010 with Flying Lotus and also performed at Coachella and Fuji Rock Festival.
