Stella McCartney is now on iTunes
In a mild case of like-father-like-daughter, Stella McCartney is now on iTunes, where she's launched her own iPad app. McCartney tosses her hat in the ring with a growing number of designers exploring this style of content-driven brand extension, which is essentially a glowing mini-magazine.
The images are beautiful, and there are special features, like a backstage glimpse of last season's runway, or videos of the making of this year's Costume Institute Benefit dresses. It's not exactly like paying for an advertising plug-in. Its like paying for an advertorial. But the hard-core aficionado who thinks Vogue doesn't give McCartney enough ink will now be able to take a digital bath in it.
