Sophia Knapp takes a nostalgia-tinged Brazilian vacation in new video
Sophia Knapp has brought back some home movies of her Brazilian vacation in the new music video for her track "Evermore." We've got it just below this article, so you won't have to pile onto her couch for two hours while she tries to get the damn slide projector working.
"Evermore," which Knapp shot in collaboration with filmmaker Antonio Sobral, chronicles a month spent at an artists' residency deep in the jungles of Sao Joao, Brazil in dreamy super 8 film. It is the perfect medium with which to capture Knapp's sound, which offers a hazy modern update on the 1970's experimental female folk of such artists as Buffy Sainte-Marie and Judy Collins, two names which will buy you a combined 50 indie-cred points at your local indie-cred watering hole or community center.
Knapp's debut album, Into the Waves, is available now through our good pals at Drag City.
