Ray Bradbury has died

Sad news out of California today as the daughter of Ray Bradbury reveals the prolific science fiction and fantasy author who penned such classic books as The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, and Fahrenheit 451 has died at age 91.

For many, Bradbury was the first author who drew us to love sci-fi, fantasy, or just reading in general. His imaginative stories and driving diction pull readers into his haunting and captivating worlds that can be revisited again an again, each time unveiling more allegory and a deeper resonance.

Of course, though he is gone, his legacy will live on, not only through his wealth of published works, but also through the numerous film and TV adaptations they have inspired and will continue to inspire.
