Pulp release updated version of 2001 song, are the best Santas ever

Sheffield alt rock veterans Pulp recently released a new version of their 2001 song, "After You." The track was originally demoed back in 2001 during the recording sessions for We Love Life, and the rough edges have been polished down Pulp-style to reveal a brand new, slightly longer studio recording of the song.

For the last two years, the band has been on a highly successful reunion tour. On December 8, Pulp performed a one-off hometown concert at the Sheffield Motorpoint Area, at which all the concert-goers received a special card instructing them to enter a specific code on Christmas day for a "nice surprise":

"We got you a little present but you can't open it til Xmas day, OK? If you enter this code into a computer anytime after midnight on Xmas Eve you will get a nice surprise -- but no peeking before then! That would be naughty."

The studio recording of the track is produced by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. Check it out below.
