Paltrow cast in Picasso film

Gwyneth Paltrow has been cast as Pablo Picasso's lover Dora Maar, opposite Antonio Banderas (as Picasso) in the film 33 Dias from filmmaker Carlos Saura. Its theme focuses primarily on the painting of Picasso's violently striking and iconic "Guernica" during the Spanish Civil War. During that time as well, Picasso experienced some romantic turbulence with his mistresses, Maar being one of them. No word yet on who'll play the rival mistress, Marie-Thérèse Walter-- Kate Moss perhaps? All kidding aside, Paltrow's excellent Spanish skills will serve her well in this project.
