New Brooklyn Nets logo unveiled
The NBA’s Brooklyn (formerly New Jersey) Nets unveiled their new logo, designed by none other than part-owner/Brooklyn native Jay-Z, who allegedly served as a “style consultant”. It’s been a long time since the borough had a major sports franchise (the Dodgers left town in 1957) and the Nets (who formerly wore red, white, and blue) embraced a retro look, going for the league’s only all-back-and-white design.
Though we’re not exactly sure how much of a role J-Hova had in the artwork, it’s a sure improvement over some of the more garish styles worn in sports today.
