Magic Wands offer free Valentine's Day download
Cuter-than-cute electro-pop duo Magic Wands are Dexy and Chris, who share the name Valentine and a love of all things romantic. So naturally, they're all about February 14, and in advance of their upcoming debut album Aloha Moon (out April 24 on Bright Antenna Records), they're releasing a special free download of their song "Teenage Love."
Fans of Nite Jewel, Little Boots or Class Actress will get behind the duo's self-described "lovewave" sound, unapologetically indebted to the synth-pop hitmakers of the '80s, from Erasure to T'Pau. Dexy even looks a touch like Samantha Fox of "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" fame. (Ask your parents, kids. Well, ask your dads, anyway.)
