Louis C.K. will get way more than breakfast at his next HBO one night stand

Comedy’s angriest star. Louis C.K., definitely has something to smile about with the announcement of his fourth HBO stand up special.

The hour long show will be taped during the comic’s latest national tour, kicking off this week in San Francisco. The special will be directed by C.K. himself and premiere sometime in 2013.

“This comic genius remains one of the freshest voices on the scene, and HBO is proud to provide an uncensored forum for his provocative humor." says HBO programming head, Michael Lombardo.

This news comes just two months after C.K.’s last, self-produced, stand up special Louie C.K. Live at the Beacon Theatre scored him an Emmy for Outstanding Writing of a Variety Special. His half hour FX comedy, Louie, also proved to be a critical favorite and fans can breathe easy knowing that C.K.’s  busy stand up schedule is likely the reason for the show’s delayed fourth season.

C.K. tweeted that the special will be available for download like his last one, for $5 on his website. Live at the Beacon Theatre reportedly earned him $1.1 million and with all the publicity and critical acclaim being made over him this year, it’s likely C.K. will be laughing all the way to the bank once again.
