Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas rework Roxy Music classic for anniversary 12-inch
As part of the burgeoning Roxy Music 40th anniversary celebration, electronic duo Lindstrom and Prins Thomas have remixed the title track from the art-glam pioneers' 1982 swan song, Avalon. Turning the seductive original into a minimalist dancefloor pulse, this fairly radical reworking nonetheless maintains the song's sensual elegance.
Along with a new take on Roxy's disco-era hit single "Love Is The Drug" by hot remixer Todd Terje, "Avalon" will be released by UK specialist label The Vinyl Factory on February 9.
