LCD Soundsystem documentary film in theaters this July
Limited to screenings at various film festivals thus far, Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace's LCD Soundsystem documentary Shut Up and Play the Hits is scheduled for a special one-night-only engagement across the country this July 18.
Chronicling the band's final performance at Madison Square Garden last April and hangover-like aftermath with frontman James Murphy, the film will be distributed by Oscilloscope Laboratories, the production company of late Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch.
Together with the Creators Project, Oscilloscope is running a contest to fly one person and guest to New York City for a screening, as well as a meet-and-greet with Murphy himself.
