LA MOCA plans to start its own video channel
Is this the future? LA's Museum of Contemporary Art is teaming up with YouTube to start its own video channel focusing on all things visual-art related this summer. The narrowcast programming will include documentaries, news, and virtual gallery visits. It's part of YouTube's strategy to commission a roster of specialty channels with original programming and complete their take-over of the world apparently.
LA MOCA director Jeffrey Deitch said the channel will be "the ultimate digital extension of the museum, aggregating, curating, and generating the strongest artistic content from around the world for a new global audience of people who are engaged in visually oriented culture." Can Critical Mob TV be far behind?
