Kraftwerk Announce Career-Spanning Residency At MoMA
Krautrock innovators Kraftwerk will showcase all eight of their full-length albums at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. (Ed. note: Creative partners Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider do not acknowledge their first three albums, 1970's Kraftwerk, 1972's Kraftwerk 2 and 1973's Ralf und Florian, as part of their canon.) Titled "Kraftwerk-Retrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8," the series will begin April 10 with 1974's Autobahn and conclude April 17 with 2003's Tour De France Soundtracks. According to the quartet's press team, each evening's performance may include additional songs, so there's hope you can still hear their 1978 classic "The Robots" on any of the dates.
