Kim Talon debuts as JAN, releases genre-defying new single
After establishing her presence in the post-punk scene as one half of the art rock duo Eagle and Talon, Kim Talon is branching out and releasing a solo album as JAN on November 13th. The Canada native earned acclaim from her work done with the LA-based Eagle and Talon, which saw her collaborate with comedian and performer-extraordinaire Reggie Watts and share the stage with artists such as Sia, The Mae Shi, Scissors for Lefty, and Benji Hughes.
Now treading in solo waters, Talon's new album sets out to be a genre-defying gong show daring to be pigeon-holed. Talon's live band includes Chloe Saavedra of indie pop duo Smoosh and Melinda Parks, who works alongside Jonny Kelson and Har Mar Superstar as Fur Pillows.
