Julia Holter releases haunting new video
Julia Holter, whose haunting Ekstasis (RVNG International) is one of Critical Mob's favorites of the first half of 2012, has released her second video from the album. Unlike the relatively straightforward, monochromatic office set of "Moni Mon Amie," "Our Sorrows" is an enigmatic and atmospheric piece following Holter around a deserted city as she ties a large spool of purple ribbon into tangled patterns. Naomi Yang (Damon and Naomi, Galaxie 500) directed the video around Holter's Los Angeles neighborhood.
Holter is currently on tour across Europe until July 7. She'll be playing live across North America from August 8 until October 2, with a two-week break in mid-September. Full tour dates are available at her website.
