Jeff Koons to teach in NYC public schools

The other King of Pop, Jeff Koons, will be teaching art in public schools next week, courtesy of Studio in a School. The program is the brainchild of Agnes Gund, from MoMA and MoMA PS1. Koons will be making the rounds along with Fred Wilson, Ursula von Rydingsvard and Claudia Demonte as part of Visual Arts Appreciation Week. Later this year, Koons will be honored at Studio's 35th Anniversary gala.

So if your kid goes to P.S 112 or P.S. 46 in Harlem, P.S. 75 on the Upper West Side and P.S. 139 in Flatbush, Brooklyn, make sure to pack plenty of twisting balloons in their lunch bags. And ask if you can audit the class.
