High Line Park now has an app
The High Line, New York City's famous subway-rail-turned-park, continues to excel in originality with a new iPad app by art publisher Thames & Hudson, On the High Line. Drawing from Annik Le Farge's print book On The High Line: Exploring America's Most Original Park, the app offers lessons on the history, architecture and plant life of the elevated park.
Restaurant and shopping recommendations are also included in the $4.99 package as well as Interactive maps, videos, music, photos, and an instrument granting users the ability to make their own digital postcards. Sounds pretty fun; our only suggesstion is to include an app for the iPhone, for tourists who wish to blend in with locals by joyfully staring at a phone while walking.
