Grizzly Bear offer up a smooth Adult Contemporary holiday treat
This holiday season, Grizzly Bear have given the world the greatest gift of all. We're speaking, of course, about the gift of goofy internet videos. God bless us, everyone!
Ed Droste shared the clip via Twitter, which features the indie darlings' 2012 release Shields rearranged for the smooth Adult Contemporary crowd, with jazzy solo piano, and even saxophone flourishes (insert your own Bon Iver joke here). And in the way of pushing their tongue even further into their cheek, the new arrangements are accompanied by some decidedly Tim and Eric-esque stock visuals and cheesy iMovie dissolves.
Well, dammit, Grizzly Bear. If your goal here was to make a certain grumpy music writer's heart grow three sizes this day, mission accomplished. Now go back to enjoying your holiday squash game on Martha's Vineyard or whatever.
