Grace Jones to blow minds at one-off NYC performance this fall
Grace Jones has always been one of the most memorable women in music to flip a middle finger to conventions and stereotypes, instead choosing to push boundaries with her style, image, music, acting, and modeling. Just after playing at London's Lovebox Festival in June, the iconic Jones is set to give an exclusive one-off performance in New York City this fall. The show will take place at the Roseland Ballroom on October 27th, and will have the powerhouse performer pulling from her music and fashion roots.
Including 15 wardrobe changes, Jones will don clothing by designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, and Issey Miyake. The show's concept was originated by prolific Irish milliner Phillip Treacy and aims to showcase Jones' seamless handle of couture and music.
VIP tickets are also available for the event -- the limited "ULTRA VIP Grace Jones Experience" tickets include an open bar and a chance to knock back some drinks with Jones herself. Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster and went on pre-sale September 10th at 9am, while general sale tickets went on sale earlier at noon today.
