Germany Germany shows off Midas touch with dreamy cover
Canadian up-and-comer Drew Harris aka Germany Germany teamed up with singer, Lauren Hillman aka Kotomi, this month to release an ethereal cover of College's already epic "A Real Hero". The two turned the keynote love song of the movie, Drive, into a catchy digital dream. The cover, originally done as a tribute to the movie, keeps the heart of the song, while changing College's synthed up 80's feel into a cleaner more futuristic electronic piece. He ditches the deep whammy bass of the original for whimsical echoed synths, and filters the vocals for an almost haunting sound.
Germany Germany is set to release a few new songs off of his new "LP2" called Blank Mind Empty Heart today, July 16th. The new songs can be found via the band's site or here.
