Dry British RomCom I Give It a Year questions how long opposites can attract

Borat director Dan Mazer wants to bring the raunch to married life and couple-struggle in upcoming British comedy flick I Give It a Year. British humor tends to bite a little more cleverly than American humor (is it the dryness, the lack of limit, the posh accents saying dirty words?), as the trailer below proves.

Nat (Rose Byrne) and Josh (Rafe Spell) aren't necessarily a match made in heaven and though quite opposite of the other, there's still a magical spark. Yet at their wedding and continually through their first year of marriage, everyone doubts them along the way, including family, friends, and old/new flames. So the ever bearing questions looms: is this really going to last?

Though it seems to have a little bit of a cheesy plot, writer/director Mazer's past proves dirty will likely be heavy. Plus, the co-starring cast bodes well for the film: Jason Flemyng, Stephen Merchant, Simon Baker, Minnie Driver, Olivia Coleman, and more.

Maybe if a red-band trailer surfaces, we could get an even better look at the raunchy RomCom. Still, the green-band below still satisfies. I Give It a Year hits theaters February 8, 2013.
